Peggy Pais, MSN, APRN, ACNS-BC- started her career as a phlebotomist. Responding to the hospital code blues is what ignited the passion to become a nurse. Peggy received her bachelor of science in nursing at the University of Texas Medical Center San Antonio in 2004. She obtained her master’s of science in nursing in 2010, as an Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist at the University of the Incarnate word in San Antonio. She graduated with honors as a member of Sigma Theta Tau. Her experience comes from the intermediate care with a focus in telemetry, cardiac and respiratory diseases. She later transited to the ICU where she became the night charge nurse. She has served on the Texas Disaster Response team and went to Haiti on a medical mission post the earthquake in 2010.

Her focus as a nurse practitioner has been both in pain management and weight loss. Her training in joint and soft tissue injections comes from her work in pain management. Her advanced training in joint and soft tissue injections comes from the Injection University in Denver, Colarado. She enjoys assisting patients ease their pain and increase their function. Throughout her nursing career, she has placed her focus on improving patients’ overall health and quality of life. She strives to create a partnership with each patient to accomplish their individual pain management and weight loss goals. In her spare times she enjoys hiking with her dogs, gardening and swimming.
